Compassion, respect, and support.

  • We believe you. We understand that what happened to you is real.
  • It's not your fault. You didn’t cause this. The responsibility is theirs, not yours.
  • We listen. You can share as much or as little as you want. You decide the pace.
  • We work with you. Together, we’ll figure out the next steps that make sense for you — whether that’s finding a safe place, making a plan, or getting longer-term support.
  • We stay. We don’t disappear after the first call. We’ll walk alongside you for as long as you need us.

Gender-based violence (GBV) happens when someone uses power, control, or harm because of your gender or identity. It can show up in alot of different ways. Here's what it might look like:

  • Sexual assault — Being pressured or forced into sexual activities you don't want to do.
  • Physical violence — Hitting, shoving, or physical restraint.
  • Emotional abuse — Constant insults, threats, humiliation, or isolation from friends and family.
  • Control and coercion — Monitoring your phone or social media, deciding where you go or who you see.
  • Financial abuse — Denied money, forced into debt, or cut off from essentials.
  • Human trafficking — Being controlled, threatened, or manipulated into work or sexual activity you didn’t choose.
  • Harassment and threats online — Experiencing stalking, bullying, or blackmail with photos.
